Israeli air forces have launched a series of air raids on Gaza City.
Residents of the city and its surrounding refugee camps heard the several explosions on Saturday's evening. Airstrikes were carried out by Israeli warplanes on different targets and were followed by extensive flying of drones that are still heard and seen on Sunday. No injuries were reported and Adham Abu Selmeya, Gaza emergency chief, told reporters confirmed that.
Three of the raids allegedly targeted bases of the Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas. These attacks caused significant damage both to the targets and to neighboring houses. Two other raids targeted empty lands to the north and south of the city.
People of Gaza were kept awake by the concerns that this escalation might be a start of a new aggression on the Strip. Sunday is a day of work and school for the parents and children of Gaza and so everyone moved on and woke up to begin a new day hoping that the drones hovering over their heads are not planning another attacks.
