The movie follows the story of a Palestinian-led movement in the West Bank that brings together all Palestinian political factions and Israelis to wage a 10-month nonviolent struggle to protect the village of Budrus from destruction. Success eludes them until his 15-year-old daughter jumps into the fray. Together they unleash a nonviolent movement that is still gaining ground today. Like the people who are featured in Encounter Point, those in Budrus are rejecting revenge in favor of Gandhian approaches to creating a world with dignity for themselves and their communities.
