1. Israel gives permission to build 900 new homes in the West Bank breaking ground on a new complex in East Jerusalem. Barak Obama said the move embitters the Palestinians and could prove very dangerous.
2. Further fuelling Palestinian anger, Israel knocked down more Palestinian homes. Dozens of heavily armed riot police arrive in the neigbourhood to do battle against a house.
