Ramallah – Israeli forces raided three villages in the north and central parts of the West Bank overnight and erected a flying checkpoint at the entrance to one village, Palestinian police reported.
The actions constitute continuing aggression by Israel against the population of the West Bank, police said.
Raids targeted the Jinan and Al-Bireh neighborhoods of the central West Bank, where homes were entered and ransacked for alleged inspections, police said.
The report noted no detentions were reported.
The flying checkpoint was erected near the Abu Sharar gas station in Dura south of Hebron late Sunday evening.
An Israeli military spokesman said the raids and access restrictions were a "regular" part of the Israeli military's operations, noting the activities were meant to "fight terrorism and maintain law and order."
