PA Police: Israel detains 4, raids Jenin, refugee camp

Ramallah – Israeli raids targeted Jenin and the Far'a refugee camp north of Nablus overnight Monday, with four detained and three released, a police report said.
The public relations office of the Palestinian police in the West Bank said Israeli soldiers detained three from the Askar refugee camp on allegations of knife possession.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said the three were detained and handed over to the Palestinian Authority, noting they remained in PA custody.
Police said the men were detained for hours then handed over to the Palestinian liaison office, while one man detained from the Far'a refugee camp north of Nablus remains in Israeli custody.
Police identified the man as 21-year-old Jamal Tayeh.
The spokeswoman said she had no knowledge of the incident.
A raid targeted Jenin at 3am, entering the cit via the Nablus road. Military vehicles patrolled the area for hours with no detentions reported, police said.
The spokeswoman said she had no knowledge of Israeli military activity in the Jenin area overnight.
