7-8-2010Jerusalem--The Israeli authorities started a recent expulsion of Palestinian citizens, who hold Ids of the occupied West Bank, of Jerusalem city, as mentioned by Jerusalemite Human Rights Center.
A report issued by the Jerusalem Center for Social and Economic Rights reported that the Israeli Ministry of Interior has already begun implementing the policy of expulsion against Palestinian citizens carrying Ids of the West Bank and living in Jerusalem before 1967.
The report said "Most of the victims of this policy are caught in the trap made by the Israeli Ministry of Interior, which asked several years ago for people who live in Jerusalem before the year 1987 and did not settle their residence issues”.
It pointed out that" The purpose was to get information about those Palestinian citizens to be able to strip them from their right of residence, which is what is happening now".
In this context, Jerusalem Center published today testimonies of two families at risk of expulsion and deportation threatened by the new policy of the Israeli Ministry of Interior after the latter collected information on them.
