OCCUPIED JERUSALEM -- The Israeli occupation authority in complete disregard of international laws is going ahead in its construction plans in occupied Jerusalem and is expected to endorse a new expansion in Abu Ghunaim settlement on Monday.
The so-called planning and building committee is expected to endorse the construction of a commercial center and 12 new housing units in Abu Ghunaim.
The Israeli army radio quoted the committee on Sunday night as saying that the endorsement would be made on Monday regardless of any political considerations and that granting building permits would continue.
Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu left for Washington late on Sunday night after declaring that building in occupied Jerusalem would continue unabated.
