NAME: Samer Assawi and Ayman Sharawna

VIOLATIONS: illegal arbitrary detention, torture and medical negligence 

Grave concerns  for the lives of hunger-striking prisoners Samer Assawi and Ayman Sharawna who are suffering  the daily torture of illegal  administrative detention in spite of the deterioration of their health after more than 200 days of  a hunger-strike protesting the brutal prison conditions and the policy of  administrative detention by the Israeli occupation government.

Samer and Ayman are two of more than a thousand Palestinian detainees who were released as part of the prisoner swap deal that secured the release of Israeli corporal Gilad Shalit on October 18, 2011 who was captured by the resistance in Gaza in 2006.
